The new Visitor and Event Centre is a magnificent tropical structure where visitors can learn about the Gardens natural and cultural history, the plant collections, and Aboriginal plant uses.

It is air conditioned and a great place to learn about Territory history, plants and seasons.

The centre includes:

A mini amphitheatre.

Premium indoor conference, corporate or wedding event space.

Retail gift shop parterned with local organisation Tactile Arts filled with local arts and crafts.

Interpretive centre to learn about the history of the gardens and the seven season of the Larrakia.

Unwind in the multimedia room with images of the Gardens changing through the wet and dry seasons.

You can collect maps and information about self-guided walks at the visitor centre gift shop.

Accessibility

Welcomes and assists people who have challenges with learning, communication, understanding and behaviour. (includes people with autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, acquired brain injury (ABI), dyslexia and dementia) Caters for people with sufficient mobility to climb a few steps but who would benefit from fixtures to aid balance. (This includes people using walking frames and mobility aids) Caters for people who use a wheelchair.
