1884年にタウンアンドカントリーバンクのために建てられたこの建物は、おそらく民間企業によって石で建てられた最初の建物でした。
1887年に建物はオーストラリアの商業銀行の敷地になりました。第二次世界大戦の爆撃とサイクロントレーシーによる軽微な被害を乗り越えましたが、現在はファサードのみが残っています。
