Situated at the foot of the beautiful George Gill Range, just 36 kilometres from Kings Canyon, Kings Creek Station is a truly unique 2,000 square kilometre slice of the real Australian desert.

Set amongst majestic desert oaks, Kings Creek Station is a cattle station with facilities for camping to luxury glamping (including the Drovers Dream and the Dreamtime Escarpment accommodation); all options designed for all types of traveller to experience the best of the outback.

After a busy day at Kings Canyon, unwind with a bottle of wine and some delicious snacks at the café and watch the sunset against the majestic George Gill Ranges. Try one of the famous Kings Creek camel burgers or relax by the pool with an icy cold drink.

Kings Creek can be reached from Alice Springs on the Luritja Road via Lasseter Highway (sealed and 450kms). If travelling from Uluru or Erldunda on the Lasseter Highway the turn off is at the Luritja Road junction. Distance from Uluru is 300kms.

Dreamtime Escarpment

Well positioned and elevated to provide maximum airflow and views, these spacious and beautifully appointed tents allow you to really experience iconic Australian camping on a truly genuine but luxurious level. The focus is on comfort with quality linens and decor, king-size or twin beds, a private bathroom with a difference, luxury amenities, bathrobe and slippers, power, heating, air-conditioning, coffee pod machine and a complimentary mini bar stocked with a selection of beer, wine and soft drinks to keep you comfortable during your stay.

Lounge in the pool with the vast desert as your back drop, whilst keeping an eye out for wildlife that may wander into view.

Price includes 1 night accommodation, cheese platter, 2 course self cook BBQ dinner, complimentary stocked bar fridge and breakfast hamper.

Note - the Dreamtime Escarpment is for guests aged 18 and over.

Mort Conway Camp

Experience the best the bush has to offer in our secluded outback camp of 10 premium, spacious tents. These spacious and beautifully appointed tents allow you to really experience iconic Australian camping on a truly genuine, but premium level. It is the perfect base to relax and explore the nearby Watarrka National Park.

The price includes a unique glamping experience, a Bushman's buffet breakfast and dinner (one main meal per person; no drinks included) at the Kings Creek Station Cafe / Bough Shed, located 2kms from the Mort Conway Camp.

The Drovers Dream

The Drovers Dream features 10 perfectly positioned tents that capture the changing colours of the Watarrka landscape. Add to this the incredible rocky outcrop that is the George Gill Range, and the magnificence of the beautiful sunsets and the unique skies perched above the incredible station will guarantee travellers that unique experience.

The Drovers Dream is a truly Australian outback accommodation experience, but with all the creature comforts built in. These tents come with beautifully appointed furnishings and luxurious internal ensuite. Each tent is designed for comfort with a plush queen bed, reverse cycle air-conditioning, a walk-in ensuite shower, custom deck with barbecue and your very own fire pit for those cooler evenings.

$650, includes one night of accommodation, two-course self cook barbecue dinner, and a Bushman’s buffet breakfast at the Station Bough Shed. For a two night consecutive stay it is $1,150 per tent. Adults only (Over 18 years).

Check-in from 2pm, and check-out by 10am.

Bush Tents

Set against the backdrop of the George Gill Range, the unique bush tents offer comfortable accommodation with access to shared facilities. Each tent has two single beds, lighting and power. The camp kitchen is available to all guests and has a fridge, sink and microwave. There is a camp fire for guests staying in the bush tents to enjoy. Fire wood not supplied.

Please note that the indicative rate quoted is per person, per night, twin share and includes a cooked breakfast.
