The memorial comprises a 23 tonne granite boulder standing on a concrete plinth.
The boulder is engraved with a picture of a B-model Road Train and there is a small brass plaque indicating that the memorial is to mark the opening of the Buntine Highway named to commemorate the road train pioneer, Noel Buntine.
