Despite vast distances, travelling to the Northern Territory by bus is easy and affordable. Companies run services here from all over the country.

Major coach and tour companies run coach services between transport hubs in the Northern Territory and destinations in Western Australia, South Australia and Queensland. Major routes include Darwin–Broome, Adelaide – Alice Springs, and Townsville – Alice Springs/Darwin (via Tennant Creek). Connecting services provide access to towns across the Northern Territory and to other interstate destinations.

Services on major routes run during the day and night, with regular stops for refreshments and amenities. So pack a book, charge your device, and watch the scenery unfold as you roll into the Territory in affordable, air-conditioned comfort.

Darwin coach terminal

Darwin’s main coach terminal is the Transit Centre in Mitchell Street. All interstate coaches, many local coaches and tours depart and arrive here, as well as shuttles to the airport, the train station and to cruise-ship terminals. A Greyhound passenger service office is located at the centre, with ticketing and booking facilities.
