The Museum is dedicated to the preservation and presentation of Australia’s unique transport heritage and the essential role it’s played in servicing remote areas of Australia and the outback.
This huge complex is one of the most comprehensive land transport museums in the southern hemisphere.
It also houses the Old Ghan railway museum, the magnificent Kenworth dealer Hall of Fame and the RSL Military Museum.
Vehicles displayed in their working day condition maintained by bush mechanics and engineers that worked with what was available to invent what was required. The Shell Rimula Wall of Fame recognises people who have driven and worked with these vehicles.
Something for everyone to enjoy not just the motoring enthusiast!
